Where does K & D ship merchandise?

Merchandise is shipped anywhere in the United States except Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico.




How can I purchase items from the website?

1. Add the items you wish to purchase to your cart.
2. After the Items have been added to your cart, select "your cart".
3. After you are finished adding items to your cart, select "checkout".
4. Fill in all required information and select "submit".
5. You will then be directed to enter your method of payment. We take Visa & MasterCard.
6. After your order has been placed you will be contacted by our web department to confirm your order and the ETA of your items.




How can I quickly determine the shipping cost for my order?

Currently K & D is offering complimentary shipping on the majority of our items. Clearance items are subject to a 20% shipping charge.  Please call us for inquiries about shipping costs.  713-574-2457. 




How long will my order take to arrive ?

We generally ship orders within 2 business days if the products on your order are available. Once shipped, an order will take approximately 7-14 days to be delivered. * If the billing address on your order is different from the shipping address, your order may be held for up to a week for security reasons. If an item is on back order/ lead-times can vary, depending on the vendor, however you will be notified if this situation occurs and given an estimated ship date for your order.




What should I expect when the order arrives and is being delivered by a freight company?

Orders that are shipped outside of Southeast Texas, and that are too large for UPS will be shipped via Freight Carrier. Freight Carrier differ from UPS in two respects. First, the Freight Carrier is asked to contact you via telephone to schedule a delivery appointment. Usually deliveries are scheduled during regular business hours: between 8am and 5pm. Second, Freight Carriers are required to move your order from their vehicle but are "NOT" required to move the merchandise or packaging into the residence or business!




If my order is being shipped via UPS or Freight Carrier, how will I know to expect it?

Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number and a link to your freight carrier's website via email. You will be able to track your shipment from departure to arrival, so you will know its estimated arrival day. The carrier is instructed to contact you prior to delivery via phone in order to inform you of the approximate delivery time. * Unless specified, items sent via UPS will be sent without a signature required. If no one is home, it will be up to the driver to decide whether or not to leave it at the door.




What happens if my order arrives damaged?

During the delivery by a freight carrier, it is "VERY" important that you INSPECT the order before the driver leaves. If you are concerned about the condition of any item, open the carton and inspect for damage. Refuse any damaged cartons; accept the remainder of the order. If the entire order is damaged, refuse the shipment and write DAMAGED-REFUSED and note the damage on the freight bill (Bill of Lading). Call K & D Home and Design immediately at 713-574-2457 and report the incident.




Will my order be taxed?

We will automatically include any applicable State Sales Tax on orders delivered within Texas during the check out process. Orders shipped outside of Texas will not be charged State Sales Tax.




Can I return and order that has been shipped and received?

You have a 7 day return policy from the day beginning on the day your merchandise is delivered. Products must be returned in their original packages and condition. A re-stocking charge of 25% and return shipping charges will apply.




Can I cancel an order that has been shipped by K & D Home but I have not received yet?

You can cancel an order that is in transit. A re-stocking charge of 25% and return shipping charges will apply.
